Hello there, I'm Deaana (not my real name btw, just the name I go by on the internet). I work as a clerk for the city, I used to work as a retail cashier on a nearby military base, at the uniform store. It was horrible, the pay was lousy, the boss never had a nice thing to say and I'm glad to be rid of that job. I'm happily married, just over 10 years now, to a wonderful guy, sometimes i refer to him as ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) gweezel. And I don't want kids, I had my tubes tied a few years ago. I've got some anxiety and approval issues, they come and go. Sometimes I post about them, but mostly just to stop thinking about whatever it is that's bothering me. I am trying to improve myself, but it's slow going, a work in progress. |
I grew up Catholic, became Wiccan for about 10 years and now I don't have a label. Most of what I believe is echoed in the "Conversations with God" series of books, which are echoed again in Dr. Wayne Dyer's books. I've been studying Taoism and the Runes lately. I'm also a firm believer in the reality of Astral Projection, which I've experienced a handful of times.
Back when I was Wiccan I wrote a bunch of pagan/wiccan songs and a workshop on it, here at my website.

I play Everquest a lot, it's my favorite hobby. I really enjoy the role-playing aspect and the whole swords/shields/etc. experience. I play a white tiger humanoid character named "Snowpurr" most of the time. She's a maxed level 80 character. I also play with a second computer with my Druid at the same time, Snowpurr beating monsters up and my druid healing. It's a lot of fun. I also sometimes play SecondLife.

Go for it. I post about whatever's frustrating me in my life, whatever I'm happy about, whatever I'm sad about, etc. If I see you've friended me I usually will friend back, too. (If your journal is an entirely other language I can't understand, though, I usually won't friend you back, sorry, but I'm not THAT talented.) I don't comment alot but I do read everything my friends write.
Just a note about friending and my friending you back, if you only have a few entries in your journal i'm truly not likely to friend you back. I want to friend people who post, people I can get to know. Just FYI. |
Favorite Books:
My favorite subjects are: Astral Projection, Runes, Channeling (and channeled books) and Vampires.
My favorite New Age authors are Neale Donald Walsch, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Robert Bruce, Raymond Buckland, and Isaac Bonewitz.
In fiction I like Anne Rice, Whitley Strieber, P.N. Elrod, Stephen King, Charlaine Harris, Kim Harrison, and Lynsay Sands.
Favorite Movies:
Queen of the Damned, Music & Lyrics, Underworld and Underworld:Evolution, Interview with the Vampire, Ghost Ship, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Star Trek and Stigmata. I love anything Vampires and werewolves.
Favorite TV Shows:
Moonlight, Medium, [H]ouse (MD), CSI (all), Law and Order (most of them) and Bones. Some dead TV shows I still like are Forever Knight, Dead Like Me, Star Trek series, especially Enterprise. I think Blood Ties and Dresden Files are dead, too.
Favorite Music:
Country: Trace Adkins, Garth Brooks, Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith and Sugarland. I could listen to country music all the time.
Pop/Metal/Rock: Bon Jovi, Poison, Jennifer Paige, Alanis Morrisette, Jewel, Motley Crue. For rock though, I'm a little more picky about what I listen to than country. I just don't like it all.
Pagan: Gwydion Pennderwyn, Ian Corrigan, and Deborah and Rick Hamouris. I still love all this stuff, even though I'm not pagan anymore. I love the music.
